Stone specialists from the French Riviera, now dedicated to Milan’s marble.
Les Traitements du Sud Milan is the Milanese branch of Les Traitements du Sud, a floor and natural stone specialist founded on the French Riviera, between Cannes and Saint-Tropez. In a region of villas, fine residences and seafront hotels, marble is everywhere – in drawing rooms, bathrooms, terraces and lobbies. That is where we refined a way of working built on reading the stone carefully and respecting the people who live in the spaces we treat.
In Milan we have chosen to focus on a single material: marble. A city where stone has shaped architecture for centuries – from the Candoglia-clad Duomo to Botticino entrance halls, Liberty staircases and the interiors of contemporary towers – deserves a dedicated specialist.
Shine and flatness come from the marble itself, not from waxes or varnishes that yellow over time.
From survey to handover you deal with the same person, who knows your project in detail.
Homes, buildings, hotels and shops stay in use; the work fits around your schedule.
No photographs without permission, and we never name the places where we work.
Every job starts with a simple question: what stone is this, and what has happened to it? Carrara, Botticino, Nero Marquina and Verde Alpi each respond differently to abrasives and chemicals. Dullness from foot traffic is not treated like acid etching, and old yellowed wax must come off before any polishing. The survey is therefore a genuine technical step: we identify the material, measure the wear and check grout lines and flatness.
Only then do we recommend the right combination – grinding, polishing, crystallisation, repair, stain removal, sealing or maintenance. The quote is written, detailed and free, and states clearly the finish you will get. Where useful, we test a hidden area so you can see the result before deciding. On site, furniture and walls are protected, our machines work wet to keep dust down, and a route is always left open. At handover we explain how to clean and protect your marble day to day.
Milan combines an exceptional heritage of marble with a design culture that expects precise finishes. Here marble is part of a building’s identity, from rationalist apartment halls to the showrooms that welcome visitors from around the world during Design Week each April. Our service is organised around local realities: Area C, narrow lifts, building regulations and hard, limescale-rich water.

The photographs on this site come from Les Traitements du Sud projects on the French Riviera. We show them for what they are: examples of the techniques, finishes and standard of care we bring to Milan, with the same methods. Out of respect for our clients’ privacy, we publish no names, addresses or locations.

Les Traitements du Sud began on the French Riviera, between Cannes and Saint-Tropez, as a floor and natural stone specialist. The Milan branch is devoted entirely to marble and brings the same working method to the city, with a single contact for each client.
Milan’s marble-rich districts, from Brera and Porta Nuova to the historic centre and CityLife, plus Monza and Lake Como, notably Como and Cernobbio. Our areas page lists them in full.
All those found in Milanese interiors: Italian whites such as Carrara, Statuario and Calacatta, Botticino and other Lombard stones, and imported blacks, greens and reds. We always identify the stone first, as hardness and acid sensitivity vary.
